The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer commissioned a consultant to study on the formulation of the overall development framework of the Hong Kong Smart City Blueprint.  The consultant submitted the report to  the  Government  in  late June 2017.  The full report and the executive summary  have  been uploaded to the dedicated portal (www.smartcity.gov.hk) for  access  by  the  public.   We  would like to invite your good self and members  of  your organisation to give views on the recommendations made in

the report on or before 30 September 2017.

The  consultant  developed recommendations covering six areas, namely “Smart  Mobility”, “Smart  Living”,  “Smart  Environment”, “Smart People”, “Smart Government” and “Smart Economy”.

To  further  collect  views  on  the recommendations of the report, a series  of engagement meetings for the stakeholders including the major ICT professionals  and industry bodies as well as various business and industry sectors,  will be arranged in August and September 2017.  We will take into consideration  views collected in order to formulate a smart city blueprint for Hong Kong.
